Event & Ticketing
Leading Ticketing Company reduces Ticket fraud by 25%
While increasing nett margins - Using Biometrics and ID Verification for large-scale event management
User Onboarding
Attendees buy tickets from third-party platforms and receive a QR code-based ticket.
User Check-in
On the event day, they arrive at the venue and show their QR code ticket at the gate.
Users are sometimes asked to show a physical ID card for verification.
Event staff scan the QR code and manually verify the ID, often causing delays, bottlenecks, and room for error.
1. Ticket Fraud & Revenue Leakage
Event platforms do not mandate identity verification at the time of ticket purchase. Typically, only the purchaser's information is captured, while other attendees remain unidentified. This lack of authentication creates a loophole that is often subject to misuse.
Aftermarket sales (scalping) with no identity linkage
Manual checks failing to detect misuse
Multiple people using a single ticket across different gates
2. Increasing In-Event Crimes and No Traceability
Growing incidents of misbehavior and petty crimes during events, especially when crowd sizes increase, create new challenges:
Zero traceability of ticket holders after entry
Organizers are unable to track who did what during or after the event
Increased burden on insurance, legal, and compliance frameworks
3. Manual Identity Checks Causing Delays and Risks
Manual verification processes at event gates result in:
Long queues and waiting times
Need for more manpower
Increased risk of stampedes and crowd control issues
4. High Operational Costs Eating Into Margins
Managing large-scale events demands extensive human resources and logistical effort:
Significant spend on hiring manpower for entry, security, and verification
Recurring cost of training temp staff for every event
Resources diverted to manage crowd control, gate management, and incident response
Onboarding Process
After the ticket is purchased from the event ticketing platform, the user downloads the event app, logs in, and uploads their ID card - government-issued identity document, be it a passport, national ID, or any recognized proof. Our AI-based system verifies the authenticity of these documents within seconds.
But we don't stop there. To ensure the person behind the screen is real and present, a quick selfie is captured for a liveness check. This selfie is then matched against the photo in the submitted ID, ensuring that no one can impersonate someone else or sneak in using borrowed credentials.
The user is onboarded and ready for the event.
Check In Process
At the venue, attendees simply walk up to the gate, where a facial scan verifies their identity in real time - no paper ID, no fumbling with QR codes. Even in areas with low connectivity, our offline-ready system ensures check-ins happen without delays. Each person is verified and checked in within seconds, reducing queues and removing the need for manual staff intervention.
Result: Identity-First Event Management
The shift to biometric, identity-linked ticketing has made large-scale event management more secure, efficient, and accountable.
